I had a wonderful time discovering the city with the City Red bus. It definitely saves you quite a bit of walking. Very well organized tour and available and friendly staff

It was cool and the guide was nice but it is too expensive!!! 15 for a little bus tour is too much

Brochure and Welcome Office both indicated this is a “Hop-on, Hop-off” bus, but in reality it’s just a bus that takes you in a loop around the city. The bus only stopped twice, once at the Piazza Maggiore (where we got on), and once at the train station, which coincidentally were also the only 2 actual bus stop signs we saw. We’ve taken “hop-on, hop-off” buses in other cities in Italy, and they always stopped at specific, marked stops where you could get off, see the sights, then easily find the bus stop to board the next bus when it arrived. Not so with the “hop-on, hop-off” bus in Bologna. We also purchased tickets for San Luca Express and, because of the information in the brochure, thought it was “hop-on, hop-off,” but it was also just transportation directly to San Luca and back. Brochure for San Luca Express also states at San Luca there’s a panoramic view of the city....that’s not true. During ride up to San Luca you get a panoramic view for literally about 2 seconds, but there’s no view once you reach San Luca. Plus the narration didn’t match the sights we were passing. What a gross misrepresentation! We feel it was a waste of our money and time! All in all, this was just another disappointment in our visit to Bologna.

Always the best way to see a city on the first few days, lets you get your bearings and this one was excellent.

The San luca trip is good value at 10 euros the city tour at 8 euros isn't value for money. Go for the San Luca trip amazing views and also covers some of the city tour.it could be awkward for some getting on and off. Can be bumpy at times seems to be when the train goes a bit faster. Enjoy ! Great for children

Audio timing was poor. Content lacking. That said, the tour bus is always a good way to get your bearings and an idea of what to visit next.
