Amazing square with a beautiful church and big campanile!! Awesome in the night with light lights and atmosphere!! Is a pedestrian area to have a good walk and see lots of historical places!! ️

Located right at the heart of Varese, an excellent location to hang out during evenings. The wonderful architecture of the basilica and the amazing clock tower adds to the charm of the entire location. Passeggiando sotto i portici del centro di Varese, una piccola galleria porta sulla piazza dove è situata la basilica con la torre campanaria in fase di restauro. L' edificio attuale risale al XVI e XVII secolo su progetto di Pellegrino Tibaldi e la facciata neoclassica è progetto di Leopoldo Pollack. L' interno conserva opere importanti come la tela di \Messa di San Gregorio\ opera di Giovan Battista Crespi del 1615 e il gruppo scultoreo dell'Addolorata di Andrea Corbetta.

Ładny kościół, w zasadzie bazylika, usytuowana na stosunkowo małym placu. Niestety otwierana tylko na msze, nie mogłam zobaczyć w środku.
