The villa is very interesting, but you can only visit with a guide and unless you have a group and send a request beforehand, the tours included in the ticket are at fixed times and only in Italian. The villa, designed by Bernini, has been well-restored and while you are going round, the guide explains the history of the powerful Chigi family who built it. Many rooms are covered in an ornate wallpaper made from pieces of decorated leather being stitched together. Although we were hoping to visit the church opposite, we were told nobody is sure of the current opening hours as the priest is overseeing 2 parishes and is either here in the late morning or the late afternoon.

One of the few palaces with almost intact furnishings. It really gives a sense about living there through various ages. There is even a Bernini graffiti. Very interesting for a 2 hours visit.
Interesting conglomeration of museum spaces and historical rooms dedicated to telling the story of the influential Chigi family.
A visit worth in a nice small town
A beautiful place for a civil wedding ceremony
