Very nice place to stay! Great, clean room and a wonderful garden to relax in. The hosts Laura an Filippo are so nice and make you feel like “Ancora” was your home, too! Definitely recommend this B&B!
This place was amazing! It's right outside Greve in Chianti, up in the hills of Tuscany. You feel like you're off the grid, but you're only a short 10 minute drive into the small town of Greve and a 20 minute drive into Panzano. Lara, our host, was absolutely incredible. She provided so much information for us, and she was always available if we had any questions. Our breakfast every morning was top notch, and she always provided us with special treats each and every day. Lara is so full of life. She is always smiling, and always reminding us of the beauty around us. The rooms are gorgeous--very old world Italy that are extremely unique to the area, itself. The WiFi didn't work great, HOWEVER it was nice to shut off and enjoy the beauty surrounding us. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Again, it's 10 minutes into Greve, 20 minutes into Panzano, an hour into Siena, and 45 minutes into Florence. In my opinion, it's the perfect location for getting around Tuscany. There are wineries in every direction, and the place feels as unique as anything you could get in Tuscany. We wish Lara and her family the best, and we hope to visit again, one day soon!
Ancora del Chianti is a very special place in Tuscany. The host, Laura, welcomed me warmly and showed me to my lovely room - it even had toiletries made with local olive oil. I felt so at home that I had the best sleep of my entire trip to Italy. As a nature lover, I so enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the terrace, soaking in the beauty surrounded by me. Can't forget the fresh tomatoes with herbs, the smoked cheese, and homemade pastries - especially the apple strudel tart with apricot jam and hazelnuts. Yum! What initially drew me to the B&B was the art class and I highly recommend it. Although it rained, my time with the art teacher was priceless. She is very talented, inspiring and just such a pleasure! I will never look at a cypress tree the same. Also, the B&B is a close drive to the really charming towns of Greve and Montefiorelli. I only wish I had more than 2 nights! Thanks you for everything.
Ancora del Chianti, it is not just a place, it is a family and friends. It is an experience how to enjoy life, feel the nature, taste original food and vine :) And it is an hearth taking place to paint and relax. Thank you for marvelous time with all of you.
Ancora del Chianti was everything we hoped and more! Laura was the perfect host. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She set up the most wonderful cooking class for us with a local chef. It was the highlight of our trip. Our room was nice and cozy, breakfast was phenomenal. It was so nice to eat with the other guests and get to know people from all over. It was such a gem. Would highly recommend.
We spent 4 days here and cannot wait to come back. The views are spectacular of the Chianti area of Tuscany. Food is wonderful, and very calming. The owners are the most charming people in the world. Come and explore.
