The weather was a bit rainy but the place was astonishing. In the heart of Toscana but far from the crowdy places.

Everything a Tuscan getaway should be. Secluded relaxed rustic. Pool available. Little cottages for everyone. Take food to cook though because it is pretty isolated.

A very friendly family run agriturismo with 8 apartments (6 in the main old farm house and 2 newer larger apartments in a separate building) in lovely surrounding gardens. Child friendly with a play area including swings, table tennis and boules alley this is topped off with a nice swimming pool with diving board at one end and a spa area at the other end with plenty of sun loungers, parasols, tables and an under cover area if the sun gets too much. We have stayed here many times and our children love to visit. The apartments are well equipped with all apartments having outside eating areas and access to barbecues. A baker comes every morning at 9am (except Sunday) with a good selection of fresh bread, pizza, croissant etc. Local village of Montelopio is an easy walk up the track where there is an all in one Bar/Cafe/shop open everyday. Highly recommended.

We have been coming here for,17 years. It is Tuscany heaven with great views and a fabulous swimming pool. Great food locally and easy reach to Volterra, Florence and Sienna. The local roads are poor but that is part of its charm.

Each time we return we find ourselves thanking whoever for letting us find it. Each year it seems to get better while remaining familiar. Immerse yourself in rural Italy or stay at the site. Pisa, Lucca, Florence all within easy reach. Multi lingual staff with a wide ranging local knowledge. Weekly market at Pontadera (20 miles/ 30 km) on Friday not to be missed.

Beautiful location in the middle of quintessential Tuscan countryside. Very easily accessible from Pisa airport in just about an hour's drive. It's very rural so a car is absolutely essential with the nearest supermarket at the bottom of the valley (15 to 20 mins drive). We had a one bedroom apartment which was fine for us and our 2 year old. The gardens are lovely as is the pool area with stunning views over the countryside. Loads of space to run around in. We did a couple of day trips out as the weather was terrible the week we were there in May - Florence and Siena take about 1 1/2 hours to drive to. When the sun shone though it was idyllic. There is a bread van who comes every morning which is brilliant and wine to purchase very reasonably on site. The staff are all very friendly. Wifi signal was excellent (kept my husband happy!). The local market in Peccioli was also lovely. The downside was just the weather really but that can't be helped and next time we would go for a 2 bedroom apartment.
