A unique Venetian experience just a quick Vaporetto ride from St. Mark's Square. This is a working glassblower's atelier in an enchanting location - a former monastery on the island of Giudecca that now is a series of artisan's workshops. Run by a husband and wife, Stefano and Nicoletta Morasso, here you can find contemporary, unique Venetian glass following traditions handed down through the generations. I was so glad I bought gifts here directly from the maker -- not only is each piece unique, but I was glad to support a small business dedicated to preserving Venetian arts. Reasonable prices and much closer than Murano. Visit and you will not be disappointed!
