I have bought a handbag from Federico, as well as a custom-made belt and custom pair of shoes. He work is beautiful and the leather is too-notch. I get compliments all the time on his pieces when I wear them. His shop is a must-visit if you are in Orvieto, if only to watch a master shoemaker at work!

The handbags and shoes are high quality! I purchased for my wife in March 2017. Really made in Italy...in the Orvieto workshop of the Badia family who runs the store. His Italian leather has a great feel and the craftsmanship is perfect. (Beware of other Florence/Milan shops where leather products fall apart in one week!)

Perfect place for small inexpensive leather items wallets purses. Handmade at the shop. Made a simple wallet for me in 2 hours. Under 20 euro. Hoping to get a pair of their shoes soon.

I was lucky to purchase a pair of shoes with Badia printed inside. I bought them as I like the style and colour. They are the most comfortable and stylish shoes I have every owned and would dearly love to own another pair.

Very good shoemaker/leather worker - HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE businessman. Got a purse for my mother, asked him about the tax refund. He doesn't do any of the normal tax refund programs because apparently the fees would be too high for him so he gave me a receipt and told me to just take it to the customs officer and that it would be no problem. He gave no details, no specific instructions, and he seemed honest enough so I left without thinking twice about it. At the airport I was looked at like an idiot and was lucky to get the custom official to even give me the proper paperwork since what Federico gave me really wasn't very substantial documentation. When I got home I emailed Federico and thus my saga of trying to get a 35 euro tax refund began. Almost a YEAR LATER, after numerous stalling, disappearing, not answering my emails to him, etc, etc, I was finally sent a check from Federico's european bank, in Euros. In order for me to cash in the check at Chase I would have to pay a 35 fee. This was after email after email after email, all for absolutely nothing. Again great shoemaker, HORRIBLY INEPT businessman, and a bit of a con-man on top of that. Just don't let him give you the tax refund run around and know what you're getting into.
