Good for kids
I very unique place to visit and the way to the top goes through it but sadly there is no way to go inside. The government havent taken proper care of it
like
Nice looking but closed on Sunday. Massafra in general is not very touristic but offers a sense of the genuine \dolce vita\.
Historic castle overlooking the city but in a poor state of repair, not tourist friendly

In het kasteel zit de plaatselijke bibliotheek. Van binnen is er niet zo heel veel te zien.
Muy bonito se ve por fuera. No tuve tiempo para visitarlo en el interior
Il Castello medievale di Massafra si erge in posizione dominante e strategica sullo sperone sinistro della Gravina di San Marco. Costruito probabilmente in età giustiniana, ha subìto importanti interventi architettonici a cavallo tra la dominazione longobarda e quella bizantina che hanno donato l’aspetto attuale. Il castello, con quattro torrioni disposti a quadrilatero e muniti di cinta muraria, con cortine e bastioni coronati da merlature e beccatelli figurativi, conserva e ingloba nella struttura parti murarie di epoca federiciana.
