We aimed at going to the nearby La Speranza but that happened to be full. Nearest restaurant happened to be Alla Pieve. Surprised to find on a Saturday evening it was empty. The village is supersmall but nice, free parking in the front. We went for a bresoala carpaccio to share as a starter, all with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The prices of the wines were kind of expensive compared to other experiences in Tuscany but there were some really good wines on the list. We went for glasses of Supertuscan, 5 each. As a main course my partner took duck ravioli, fresh and very tasty. Good portion. I took the Fiorentina steak, medium rare. Good preparation, nice grilly taste and nice and red from the inside. As a dessert, chocolate muffin with almond cream, delicious. Waiter was very attentive and spoke good English. All in all a very good experience, nice atmosphere and we loved the village. Cannot relate to the reviews below, our experience in the restaurant was good.

Overpriced, extremely mediocre pizza that tasted like it was frozen. It would have been fine if the pizza was cheap but for the price we got, it was definitely not worth it. I find it hard to believe that a local place like this can serve such bad pizza.

Never thought I could get brain freeze from pizza, but Alla Pieve aka Alla Dr. Oetker managed to achieve this otherwise impossible feat. We ordered 7 pizzas and all of them were most definitely prepared from frozen dough. Even though we did not have great expectations, after having their pizza I got confused whether it was really Italy that I was in. I restarted my phone just to receive the text message from my service provider notifying me of my whereabouts. Any Italian would be brought to tears just from the sight of this circular waste of yeast and would be forced to relive the pain of 1970 fifa world cup finals (4:1 BRA vs ITA). The fact that most of your clients are tourists does not mean that they are uneducated and that you should stop trying. P.S. It's been 20mins since I finished eating and I feel like there is a brick inside my stomach. Hope the porcelain toilet doesn't shatter.

We picked up 7 pizzas to take away, and realized when we got back home that they had clearly been frozen and just reheated. Our expectations are not that high, but I do expect it to be a freshly made pizza for 7 euros. This pizza wouldn’t be considered good in any country, let alone Italy.

Service was great, all the food was amazing. We ordered a mix of dishes from the rustic and fine dining menu and everything was delicious.
